This is a great stand. I have several different sized dulcimers and all of them fit perfectly. The packed instructions helped me through any questions I had. With that said, the setup is pretty straightforward and easy. My stand was shipped quickly and well packaged. Excellent!

I was thrilled to find a way to play dulcimer standing up. My legs can get very uncomfortable when I sit for too long. This is a brilliant design. I am about 5'5" and the Performer's Model is perfect for me. It is easy to set up and comfortable to use. The dulcimer is secure and well protected. The stand folds up and does not take up too much space. It is well designed and built with quality materials and craftsmanship. Highly recommended!

The Wolf Hill Performer's Model Mtn Dulcimer stand has made my playing so much easier! It stands in the corner of my practice space and I love just walking up to it and playing a bit. I was worried about carrying it to ensemble practice, but it folds up very neatly and it's very light. I especially appreciate the shoulder strap. My dulcimers all fit snugly and seem quite stable on the stand - from Ginger to Baritone, it's easy to adjust for a good fit. I am very happy with the product, now when are you going to start making walk up bowed psaltery stands?

I highly recommend this stand to any mountain dulcimer player. It is skillfully designed and well made. It enables you to play your dulcimer standing up and I believe it gives a clearer, crisper sound as you are not muting the instrument with it being on your knees.

The stand came at the correct height. It is really easy to set up. When I put the bungee cords on the mountain dulcimer, I don’t worry about my dulcimer falling while my essential tremors kick in . A very nice feature about it is that it is very portable. The construction is superb . It is awesome having a dulcimer stand is very fast adjusting between the different sizes of dulcimers. I really highly recommend this stand for anyone playing mountain dulcimer that is short like me. I also would like to mention that they answered all my questions and. Was really patient with me.

I finally got a chance to unpack my stand today! I LOVE it!!!! Not only does it fit my Hourglass-shaped dulcimer, but it also easily fits my Teardrop-shaped dulcimer, as well as my Ginger dulcimer with just the tiniest bit of adjustment. It is easy to set-up, after a bit of patience for the learning curve with something new, and appears to be sturdy. Having short legs and a smaller lap, this is the perfect option for me and my mountain dulcimer. It makes reaching all of the fretboard easier and less awkward. The handle or the shoulder strap offer options for carrying the stand when it is closed. I'm very happy I made this purchase.

I love, love, love my sit down model of MD stand. I am short therefore short thighs. With the Wolf Hill Sit-Down model of MD stand I can place the dulcimer at an angel that provides me the best access to the fret board, from the first fret to fret 10 and higher, without having to move the instrument around. This is the purchase of my second stand so I can leave my standard on one stand and my MAX DAD on the other for easy practice.

Dulcimer, I have found the stand that I purchased from Wolf Hill Woodworking to be constructed very well and very helpful and secure with holding my Dulcimer in place while being played, and also compact when folded for carrying. I love my sitting mountain dulcimer stand! I purchased it primarily to play my resonator dulcimer that was a bit too boxy to stay on my lap. Ron and Dawn helped me choose the perfect size stand. I am very short and not likely to grow. After a few emails back and forth we decided that the sitting model would fit me best. I measured from the floor to a relaxed bent elbow to get the correct model. The stand is very stable and my dulcimer doesn't wobble or wiggle while I am playing. Perfection! I found this stand after seeing Bing Futch doing a demo on it. Thanks Ron and Dawn and Bing, too.
