The leather covered side has the same striking surface size and shape as our Ashbrook.Although shorter in over-all length, the striking distance is the same as all our 8 ⅜-inch hammers. Weighing in at between 10 and 11 grams each, they are perfectly balanced and play just like our other hammers.
Styled to invoke that classic metal-worker’s tool, our Ball Peen Hammer Hammer has one regular-sized striking surface and one smaller one, which is great for practicing your striking accuracy – although it may be a little small for triple strings, depending on your dulcimer’s string spacing.
