This hammer is designed with the same care and specifications as all our hammers. The leather covered side has the same striking surface size and shape as our Ashbrook. Although shorter in over-all length, the striking distance is the same as all our 8 ⅜-inch hammers. Weighing in at between 10 and 11 grams each, they are perfectly balanced and play just like our other hammers.
Styled to invoke that classic metal-worker’s tool, our Ball Peen Hammer Hammer has one regular-sized striking surface and one smaller one, which is great for practicing your striking accuracy – although it may be a little small for triple strings, depending on your dulcimer’s string spacing.
